About Me
Hello, I’m Leanne Hart.
I’m both the Hart and the heart in Hart2heart Wellbeing.
It took seeing two friends suffer psychological injuries at work to make me realise what was missing ...
Despite my expertise in People & Culture, I underestimated how badly workplaces could impact people’s physical and mental health.
Until I saw what it did to my friends.
It was clear to me that with different leadership practices, a lot of that damage could be avoided. So I’m on a mission to change the way wellbeing is supported in the workplace. Because everyone deserves to feel safe and healthy at work.
My belief and approach:
I believe that leadership and wellbeing are intrinsically linked and that workplace wellbeing starts with embodied leadership. And that’s where I come in. Embodied leadership can prevent workplace issues, whether someone is guiding themselves or leading others.
When we take an embodied approach to leadership, we integrate the body, mind and heart to increase self-awareness, social awareness, self-regulation and the ability to influence others. When a person is more embodied, they are better able to respond skilfully in difficult or stressful situations. And that helps their personal wellbeing and the wellbeing of those around them, particularly in a workplace.
The way I work:
I facilitate workshops and coaching that provide calm, non-judgemental spaces where individuals can freely express themselves, have honest discussions, explore their stress patterns and find different ways to respond to situations.
I include somatic and trauma-informed methods to help people recognise and change limiting patterns and behaviours. It’s experiential learning using the intelligence of the body.
I focus on practical leadership skills and knowledge that can be used in everyday life, both at home and at work.
My bio:
My approach is grounded in experience from two decades working locally and globally with corporate, privately-owned and social purpose organisations where I’ve specialised in people and culture, senior management, leadership development, training, health, safety and wellbeing program design. It’s taken me to over 25 countries and environments from boardrooms to factory floors.
My practical experience is complemented by qualifications including a Master of Management, certification of Embodiment Coaching, a Cert IV in Fitness, a Diploma in Exercise Science & Fitness Management and teacher certification in Hatha, Trauma-informed and Community yoga.
I’ve also served as a Board Chair of a not-for-profit organisation providing proactive education for the partners and families of frontline responders.
A healthy life balance underpins everything I do and when I’m not guiding my wonderful clients, you might find me recharging on a run or hike, reconnecting with nature, losing myself in good live music, planning an adventure or restoring on my much-loved yoga mat.
